The Team at Michalski Law Offices

James Michalski, Attorney at Law

James Michalski

Partner

I offer my clients the advantages that come with relying on a  small firm. I have worked at large law firms in the past and bring that valuable experience to each and every case I take on. However, due to my low overhead, I am able to resolve legal disagreements much more cost-effectively than my larger competitors.

I am committed to finding efficient, effective solutions to complex business disputes. My services include guiding people and corporations through litigation centered on issues such as employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, insurance defense and more. My roster of clients is very diverse, including business owners, human resources professionals, insurance companies and even other lawyers.

William Pannier, Attorney at Law

William Pannier

Of Counsel

William provides legal services, including counseling and litigation, to business of various kinds. Advises businesses on issues arising under contracts with companies and government agencies, including negotiation, compliance and internal investigations, false claims and enforcement defense, and related litigation.

Christina King, Senior Counsel

Christina King

Partner

Christina is a graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law. Her background is extensive, covering multiple areas of the law including: criminal defense, personal injury, mass and toxic tort, general civil litigation (both Plaintiff and Defense), business law, contract disputes, animal law, trust and estates disputes and probate, and transactional experience in trusts and estates. Christina has experience in both State and Federal Courts.

Christina’s background in criminal defense included working one-on-one with clients at the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office in the Veteran’s Court, fighting for veterans who put their lives on the line in combat and are now struggling with the harsh realities of recovering from these traumatic experiences. Rather than pushing for incarceration, Christina fought to have veterans pursue treatment and diversion to restore them to the community. In addition to helping veterans, Christina handled criminal matters involving misdemeanors and felonies. She successfully argued a motion to gain an elderly woman’s freedom from vehicular manslaughter charges that would have cost her years in prison for a simple traffic mistake. Christina is a tough litigator pursuing justice for all her clients.

Christina’s extensive experience in civil litigation afforded her the opportunity to successfully win demurrers and motions to strike, protective orders, and oppositions to summary judgment. Christina worked on a variety of matters from inception through trial and takes the challenges of litigation head-on.

During law school, Christina finished in the top 20 percent of her first-year class, affording her the opportunity to transfer to Pepperdine to finish her legal education. While attending Pepperdine, Christina was involved in the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund and served as Vice President for the school’s chapter. Christina organized seminars and communicated with the firm’s social media director to inform people of their rights as animal parents. Christina authored the law article “The Call to Love: Legal Implications of Applying Jesus’ Greatest Commandment Beyond the Human Race.” Christina’s goal is to see the archaic laws of animal rights repealed by changing their legal standing of “property” repealed to a heightened standard of laws giving animals legal status under guardianship.

Christina is actively involved in the Christian church and fights for the lives of Christ followers on a daily basis. She is the Chief Financial Officer of the Live Ride Christian Church, a local motorcycle ministry in which her father was actively involved. Christina was chosen to serve as Chief Financial Officer in 2020. Christina began practicing civil rights, including fighting against First Amendment and Establishment Clause violations which increased exponentially as a of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Christina’s interests include church activities and ministry, fitness as she is currently pursuing certification as a personal trainer, dance, world travelling, and spending quality time with her friends, family, and, importantly, her dog Kona.
